Run to Feed the Hungry

Happy Thanksgiving! It is usually the Daffin family tradition to run (or I should say walk) in the annual Run to Feed the Hungry race on Thanksgiving morning. This year was the 14th annual and what a turn out. Unofficial numbers were around 22,ooo participants. Officials hope to raise $500,000 in this year's event. The race originated in 1994 and was started by Gaylord Walker in conjunction with the Sacramento Food Bank. The inaugrual event had 800 participants. The race is a great success and shows the generosity of those that are thankful for what they have and are willing to share with those less fortunate. If you live in the Sacramento area, you should plan on running (or walking) next year. Hope to see you in 2008!
Nearing the starting line
Mary and Casey pacing themselves
Lots of entertainment

Blistering pace... but it was fun!

Tammy and Rick

I photographed Tammy and Rick this past weekend during their engagement session. They said they were nervous but it didn't show. They were awesome! And a lot of fun. I told them they could do commercial print. Rick laughed and said that he would keep his day job. Take a look and let them know what you think.

Mild Trashing

This past Sunday I took photos of my daughter and a friend of her's who wanted to trash their high school prom dresses. What I found out later was that they really didn't want to ruin them, they just wanted to take some fun pictures in them. It's all a matter of perspective... I think these two are getting ready for something much bigger. I'm in touble....

Tyler and Bryce at the Pumpkin Patch

I brought my grandsons to the pumpkin patch this week to pick up a few pumpkins. There was a corn maze and hay pyramid and a zillion pumpkins. I think we got some good ones this year :-)
